Temporomandibular Joint Disorder, also known as Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction or TMJ Syndrome, describes a variety of painful problems by the joint that connects the skull to the lower jaw. These disorders can often cause pain, a clicking noise, and can effect how you chew, talk, or even yawn.

Adjusting one’s bite through orthodontics can relieve and cure TMJ/TMD. It can be done even if your teeth are already straight, or simultaneously while you straighten your teeth.
